3 weeks and counting!

The house is almost done! We have countertops and all of the floors are in! Here are a few pics of the nearly finished product! And apparently, we are lucky in Maricopa... Matt put a dollar in a slot at the casino and won $30! A good sign I think!

It's Almost Done!

Hi everyone! We are excited to let you know that we do our final walk-through on the house on 12/16 and our delivery date is 12/23! That's right, 2 days before Christmas... so it doesn't look like we will be moved in by Christmas... but plan for the New Year's Eve Party in Maricopa!

Halloween Time!

Cara dressed up as Cinderella for Halloween this year! We went to Aunt Deanna's house, where she got to spend time with her cousins, who went as Snow White, Belle and Tinkerbell - it was a pretty princess party. Here are some pics of Cara dressed up before her daycare parade.

Happy Birthday Cara!

Today is Cara's first birthday. We had her party on Sunday at Peter Piper Pizza. Thanks to everyone who made it! Here are some pics of the fun - including Cara and the cake!

They are really moving along on the house! I talked to the Shea rep, and she said they want to be done before the end of the year! Maybe, we'll be in for Christmas!

It's Starting to Look Like a House...

Here are some recent pics of our house! They are about 3 weeks in, and the framing is getting started. They said they should be done with framing by this weekend! Who knows, this could go faster than 6 months (fingers crossed)!

New house update

Here are some pictures of our new house (well, right now it's just a dirt lot...). They started on August 11, and should be pouring the foundation soon. We are moving into a townhouse in Mesa next week, so we can save gas for a while. It will be really nice when we get into our big, new house!

Just cute

I thought this video was just adorable. Cara found the new packs of Onesie's we bought her, and was trying to put her clothes on (or play peek-a-boo). She also wanted to try and take mommy's camera.

Cara is walking!

Cara took her first steps on Wednesday, August 6. She took 3 steps towards Grandpa Burkett and Aunt Stephanie as they left from their visit. We were very excited that they got to witness her first steps!




She started walking pretty regularly within a week. Here is some video of Cara walking tonight(holding 2 things at the same time!). She turns 11 months on August 23, so she is just shy of 11 months and getting mobile!

Matt's new job!

Matt got a great new job as a manager at Cici's Pizza! The store is at Southern & Gilbert, so if you are in the area, stop by and see him for dinner.

Happenings

Cara is 10 months old, and cute as a button!


Matt and I are moving! We are seraching for a house/townhome to rent for the next 6 months while we have our new home built in Maricopa. Here is a link to our house model.
